I was so happy to attend the World Water Film Festival this weekend at Columbia University, New York City.

Congratulations to Robert Strand, for his vision to create this wonderful event and the determination and hutzpah to turn it into a reality. Robert’s enthusiasm is infectious and the sincerity of his motivation to help aspiring film makers share stories around water unquestionable.

Actor and activist, @MatthewModine shared two engaging new films he is connected to: Ripple Effect, part of a series he is working on that explores the potential for positive change on the marine environment, from kelp farming to re-establishing oyster beds to help filter and purify water and Sludge: A PFAS Uprising, led by Kiera Howard, is an important film highlighting the serious potential risk of introducing pollutants into our food chain through the land application of biosolids, based on a series of instances in Maine.

I was delighted to receive an award for Best Impact Documentary for Our Blue World at World Water Film Festival on behalf of all of the Brave Blue World Foundation team including, Director, Ruรกn Magan, Producer, Aoife Kelleher, Hope Frank, Juangus Dinsmore. ๐Ÿ˜€

I enjoyed meeting the hashtagWhatASisters, two young influencers, who are using their instagram posts to help share simple actions that we can all take to save water.

Milin Patel hydrated our imagination with his wonderful water sommelier tastings. My favourite was Vichy Catalan!

It was a whirlwind trip and a very heart warming one.

Thankful to our partners: Water Environment Federation, GRUNDFOS, Procter & Gamble, AB InBev, Sciens Water, BlueTech Research , and our Impact Partners, Water.org , WWF, Imagine H2O, XPV Water Partners , and Yokogawa
